Social Media Advertising Formula

Social Media and Your BusinessThere are a few social network platforms that are necessary to an overall strategy.  Starting with Facebook- optimize one keyword phrase and position yourself to be an expert in your industry.  It's a good place for a personal profile (without getting too personal).  Next is Linked In, which is your business profile site.  Select a keyword phrase that you want to be found under and work it into the content without sacrificing a reader's experience.  MySpace is more an open community than Facebook and ranks well in the search engines, it also allows businesses to have profiles and customization.  Optimize with a keyword phrase and also search for your target audience in MySpace to create a network.  YouTube itself is phenomenal way to get other site owners to link to your web site, simply a great viral marketing tool.  If you're not creative, use professionals that can deliver a video that tells your story with either an on camera or off camera spokesperson.  Each video can cover a different keyword phrase.  Twitter is an amazing tool for your business and must be implemented.  There are plugins that allow you to update Twitter and push out info to your other social networks.  Again, select a keyword phrase and include that in your Twitter posts, and give your Twitter page a unique and branded look.

If you don't have the time to develop the presence in these social networks, the one tool at the top of the list is a customized business blog.  It is the one social media platform that has advantages over other social media.  Search engines love blogs that post regular new content. Consumers love blogs because they are informative and not a hard sell.  Every post is another chance to include a keyword phrase that can be linked back to the main site.  Select your keyword before writing and include it in the title as well as the content.
