website strategyThis content here is my response to a request for a website review, and what kind of website strategy would lead to better bottom line results.  A keyword ranking report was included after doing initial keyword research, along with top ten ranking on the website's best ranked keyword phrase.  A longer SEO keyword research report uncovered many keyword phrases worth going after.

It's a little unusual to see a PR4 website, a very good Google ranking, and yet have a very poor Alexa ranking.  I believe your article writing has paid off in getting a good Page Rank score.  But it doesn't look as if it's translated into a good volume of traffic at all.  Article writing is good for what you've accomplished so far.  Our expertise is in blog customization, which entails having appealing design, but more importantly, that intense keyword research is integrated into the foundation of the business blog.  When done right, the blog is a link building machine, it should be an external blog or at the least a subdomain of your own domain.  A domain like spacetravel.blogspot.com is not good, the link 'juice' goes to blogspot and not much to spacetravel.  A better situation is blog.spacetravel.com.  And better yet is a stand alone blog so it completely is separate from the main website, so it's optimized content that points to the main site has the most effectiveness.  The one thing that's missed my most people and experts, is the website already exists, and when the business blog is built with the best keyword phrase integrated into it's structure, the website has to be optimized to best match the blog.  In this way, when search engines index a post, the bots follow the 'anchor link'  which is a keyword phrase that links back to a relevant page on the main website, the bots follow the link and if the meta tags and the content match up well, then the link popularity score is going to be at its highest.  Not knowing or not implementing these principles means it will take a much longer time to reach the recognition and ranking an online business owner is after.

It Takes Deep Keyword Research, Social Media, Targeted Advertising, Optimized Content

If you are starting a business, or getting a business you have to make it online, keyword research is a smart way to go about setting up marketing strategies.  What are the underlying principles that need to be adhered to that are universal in successful online businesses? The first universal principle is defining your business with deep keyword research. Deep in the sense that keyword phrases are integrated into the foundations of the web properties involved. Deeper still, in that the keyword phrases are researched for natural traffic. Then, go deeper by analyzing the top ten competitors to prioritize which keyword phrases have the best opportunities to break into the top ten.

Once keyword research is performed, the resulting keyword phrases need to be built into the meta tags of the main website, its supporting customized business blog, and used wisely in social media networks, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and other web properties. On-page content and content produced on blogs need to attain a high level of relevancy. These first steps build a strong infrastructure for a continuous marketing strategy. More activities include building backlinks and attracting backlinks to gain traffic from other websites, social media, and recognition from search engines to help judge your site to be more important than other sites in the same industry.. Video presentations on different aspects of the business, including tutorials, feature/benefit demos, and entertaining/informative videos add to a strong website strategy. We see all these activities as working towards a tipping point, where an unknown website becomes mainstream and highly profitable. Facebook and search engine paid advertising also helps to establish a strong web presence, but should be used carefully through ad testing and pay-per-click analysis (so not to gamble away the ability to run a continuous marketing strategy). We know it works, but works best within an overall marketing strategy program. Come by and give us a 'like'. Request info for online business problems you need help on. keyword research, marketing strategiesInternet marketers who provide marketing strategies for website owners seem to leave details out, causing the marketing mix to falter. Think of a painter hired to paint the interior of a house, but leaves the trim for you to do without telling you what primer or custom paint colors were used that will match up perfectly. Either the work should be performed, or the site owner is informed what exactly is going to make the marketing campaign work efficiently.

The important part I am speaking to is keyword research that is always the prime ingredient to everything, without it performed to a high degree, all the money poured into blog customization is mostly wasted. A customized business blog has several responsibilities that all lead to pushing up the main website in rankings. There is a disconnect between how the website was optimized when it was built and the new marketing tools built to support it. The keyword research, even when performed to a high degree of competence, may be great for the custom business blog, but will not have the intended results, if the main website is not optimized to match up the keyword strategy used in the marketing tools.
Most of the time, training is limited, or plain sophomoric and owners are really left to figure it out for themselves. What Net More Now does, is an all-inclusive marketing strategy where the site owner's website receives attention, and recommendations are implemented by the person delegated to do the updating. In this way, when optimized content from the business blog is pointing to specific pages on the main website, it can be doubly effective if those specific pages have been optimized to match the content pointing to it. The search engines are quick to index blog postings and follow the links in the posts back to the main website. The higher the relevancy, the better the ranking when search engines do their indexing and decision making.

There is certainly more to web 2.0 marketing, in getting the marketing mix right for a business and seeing it properly implemented. The keyword research is more than keyword phrase discovery in terms of number of searches and competitive analysis. Prioritization and keyword integration into the web properties is key. My company does all the setup work and the marketing for the first two months in order to ensure and prove everything out. During those two months, site owners are shown by example, they don't read it out of a book, they see it done right and get the support they need. Some owners have the time to take over all the monthly marketing activities, and other owners prefer us to continue a level of website strategies that grows their business. Next blog will be on how to do Facebook marketing and make money doing it.

keyword research, blog customizationThe work on keyword research is very integrated when building an optimized website and the customized business blog at the same time. The website promotion programs are in support of an existing website most often, so there is a considerable amount of research to see that the blog customization includes the most effective keyword phrases. That means analyizing the keyword phrases built into the existing site and recommending necessary changes to improve the site's performance, so that content from the new business blog will score greater relevancy for the website's page the content is pointing to.

Pouring over tracking reports and comparing keyword efficiencies against top ten competitors, it's not often where I see a top ten list where all the domains have done serious optimizing, event to the point of repeating the keyword phrase in their title page three times, and nine out of ten had done that. Pretty brutal for anyone with a new website to go heads up against solidly entrenched websites that practically stuff their keyword phrase down the SEs throats! If they're all doing that, does that make the top ten major keyword stuffers? Or have they been around so long the SEs let them get away with it.
