Blog Customization using Wordpress or Joomla
For an online ecommerce business to thrive today, it must incorporate web 2.0 marketing strategies that include blog customization of an external business blog. It is the premier tool for building inbound links and properly accessing the social media networking sites. Many choose blogging software such as Wordpress, Joomla or Drupal. Wordpress is the simplest to learn and use for blogging. Wordpress is customizable though its CMS could be more robust. Drupal is just plain complicated and has the longest learning curve. There is a trend towards more robust software that handles blogging with powerful Content Management Systems (CMS) built in. You never know how large a site will get and how data driven it may be over time. Planning for this in the beginning is wise. Overall, we recommend and use Joomla. It's user management is very good, if your site is going to have many users with different permission levels, Joomla is the better choice. If you are going to have ecommerce, again Joomla is preferable. For a beginner the software seems challenging, however spending the time to learn the basics will payoff later. Learn the basics and Joomla will likely become your primary choice. After careful consideration, we went with the better CMS software instead of blogging software such as Wordpress or Blogger. Everyone will have their own favorites depending on how it's to be used.
